You may have caught wind of this new, extremely old product. Since coconut’s latest wave to hit the Western World in the latest millennium, it has been the talk on every natural, how-to, DIY website to hit the internet. Now with social media, Google, and people turning to the more natural way of living, it is making another burst into the scenes. For very good reasons too! It can be an everyday, multiple times a day addition to many regimens.

Energy
Who lacks energy these days? I do! I do! Whether it’s kids, career, keeping in shape, being awesome, or whatever makes it difficult to start the day, this incredible oil can zap that away from you – naturally. It does such a good job, that it’s not advised to take it night. Sounds great right? All you need is a tablespoon each of honey and coconut oil, then add some Chia seeds for more umph and you are good to go. Add it to your coffee to give it a little nutty flavor. It doesn’t take much. Oh the beauty of this oil!

Healthy Living
By cutting out on the $5 latte every morning, and substituting it with a quick concoction of honey and coconut oil, it definitely starts to add up in the pocket book and in your personal health department, too. It is very helpful with everything between relieving mosquito bites (just apply coconut oil to the bite, add lavender or tea tree oil for an even quicker relief) to natural deodorant, and oddly enough, can even be a face cleanser. When you ingest coconut oil daily (1-2 tbsp.) it can help you lose weight by curbing your appetite, and even helps prevent high blood pressure. Because coconut oil a fatty acid on the Middle Chain Triglycerides (MCT), once you digest it, it goes straight to the liver and your body processes it as energy. Any unused calories doesn’t turn into fat, but ketones therefore not adding any weight.

The Natural Life
Coconut oil is beginning to replace lots of products we use. Any recipe that calls for vegetable oil can be substituted with coconut oil. People are turning to oil pulling to maintaining dental hygiene, and even substituting their deodorant for this natural odor fighter. The list goes on and on. Coconut has been a staple in my kitchen for some time now. It should be for yours too! Your life will benefit greatly in a healthy way because of it.
